Stanley D. Walker, MD is the founder and Chief of Hematology/Oncology at The Oncology Center of Central Baltimore. Since 1996, Dr. Walker has also served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine with the University of Maryland. His research interests include lung cancer, lymphoma, and leukemia.

Prior to coming to Baltimore in the fall of 1993, Dr. Walker served from June 1985 – June 1993 as Chief of Hematology/Oncology at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, as well as Assistant Professor of Medicine with the University of Connecticut. Dr. Walker came to Baltimore to serve as Chief of Hematology/Oncology at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital, and later as the physician liaison for its Oncology Committee. Dr. Walker completed his fellowship at the University of Connecticut Health Center, and internship and residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Connecticut. Dr. Walker received his medical degree from the University of Guadalajara, Mexico, and speaks fluent Spanish.

When he's not treating patients, Dr. Walker enjoys running marathons, playing basketball, and spending time with his three sons.
