Dr. Walker received his medical degree from the University of Guadalajara, Mexico. Prior to coming to Baltimore in the fall of 1993, Dr. Walker served as chief of Hematology/Oncology at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, from June 1985 until June 1993, as well as an assistant professor of medicine with the University of Connecticut. Since 1996, he has been an assistant professor of medicine with the University of Maryland. Dr. Walker also serves as the physician liaison for the oncology committee at Union Memorial Hospital. When he's
not treating patients, Dr. Walker enjoys running marathons and playing
basketball. He is married and has three sons.
