Christopher Eastman, Kaposi’s Sarcoma
Christopher Eastman came to the oncology center to receive treatment for the skin cancer, Kaposi’s Sarcoma. His first impression of the center was that the staff was friendly and personable, treating him as if he was not just a patient, but a human being, too. He identifies his nurse Sandy as a staff member who made a difference by going out of her way to talk to his mother and make her feel better about his treatment. “I can’t say enough good things about this place and the people that make it what it is … pleasant. From the outgoing personalities of the staff to the over decorating for the holidays, it’s been a shining light in this otherwise dark time for me.”

I thought it was a death sentence, but Dr. Walker convinced me to have faith and stay positive. His staff kept up with this encouragement for my entire treatment. They have been there for me for nine years, during my treatment, and many years after. John Morris, Non Small Cell Lung Cancer
John Morris came to the oncology center on a referral, was impressed by the staff, and decided to continue with the center for treatment for Non Small Cell Lung Cancer. Mr. Morris has worked most closely with his nurse, Sandy, who consistently answered his questions and always took the time to inquire whether he was ok and whether there was anything she could do for him. "I believe [the staff] are fantastic. They are friendly, humorous at times, and very knowledgeable about the diseases and treatment.
