Corinthian Everett has worked in Oncology for twelve years, the last nine of which have been with Dr. Walker at the Oncology Center of Central Baltimore.  She came to the Oncology Center after interacting with Dr. Walker in her previous job as a nurse in an area hospital oncology unit.  Corinthian believes that patients diagnosed with cancer need every ounce of support they can get.  Her guiding motto is ‘Treat people the way you want to be treated.’  Corinthian practices this by providing patients with information, so they are empowered as they struggle with the unknown.  She also makes a special effort to actively listen to the concerns of patients and provide answers, assistance, and encouragement at every opportunity.

As a nurse in the Oncology Center of Central Baltimore, Ms. Everett has a critical responsibility for mixing, administering, and monitoring patients’ chemotherapy.  She also helps to make arrangements for the use of home medical equipment and home health care.  In addition, Corinthian works with patients’ caregivers to provide resources, information on therapy, and contacts for support groups.  She interprets the Oncology Center of Central Baltimore’s mission statement of ‘Whatever it Takes’ to mean “I go above and beyond what is required of me to do.  Most of the time it happens, and I don’t even realize until the person thanks me  … You never know what someone is in need of on any particular day.  It could be a word of encouragement, a smile and hug, a song, a laugh, or a strong dose of tough love.”
