Sandra Klein, RN
Sandra Klein has worked as nurse for over 34 years.  She believes that she has found her niche with the amazing team she works with at the Oncology Center of Central Baltimore. She feels that a strength of this team is its ability to provide the patient’s family “the support they need, be it emotional, physical (sometimes just a hug will go a long way), or the knowledge to get through.”  Ms. Klein points to the fact that the Oncology Center of Central Baltimore did not lose a single patient to other oncology centers when they moved to their new location as evidence of the strong support system they have built.  She also describes the center’s involvement with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and a variety of educational fairs throughout the year as testament to the way that the oncology center involves itself in the community in battling cancer.

Ms. Klein lives the Oncology Center of Central Baltimore’s motto of ‘Whatever it Takes’ through the services she provides to patients.  She comes in early or stays late, assists patients with their care, and visits them in the hospital.  She writes out medication and care schedules for those who are having difficulty adjusting their treatments and coordinates with home health nursing and outside vendors to supply the correct medical supplies or equipment.  After 34 years in nursing, Sandra understands that “It makes such a difference when the team you are on works together to make a difference.  Every team player at the Oncology Center of Central Baltimore has an important role.”
